Cathy Simpson, age 53, of Russellville, departed this life on June 7, 2012 at her home. She was born November 9, 1958 in Lubbock, Texas, to Bill and Wanda Kirk. She was of the Christian faith and was the owner/operator of her own landscape company, an LPN, and an insurance salesperson. She was preceded in death by her father. Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Steve Simpson of Crow Mountain; two daughters and one son-in-law, Stephanie Raye and Jerry W. Smith, of Russellville, Andrea LeeAnn Taylor, of Russellville; her mother and her husband Wanda and Gary Dixon, of Dover; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Thresia and Bill Nabours, of Scottsville, Pam Killins of Jerusaleum; four grandchildren, Shyra, Autumun, Hunter, Kayley; and many other family and friends. The family will conduct a memorial service at 2pm Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Crow Mountain Baptist Church, officiated by Bro. Don Rose. Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Smith, Kirk and Daron Killins, and all of her dear friends. The family will receive friends before and after the memorial service at the church. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Broussard Funeral Home of Russellville, Arkansas.

I am sorry for your loss of my cousiin Kathy. She will be missed very much so. I know she is with GOD now and has total peace & has been healed by the precious blood that Christ shed on the cross. Rest in peace Kathy & I will miss you, your craziness and you picking on me! I love you cuz!!!!

i am so sorry to hear about cathy. i am a hector graduate and i remember, always a happy and out-going person in cathy. pam and theresa......i know you will miss her greatly.after losing daniel, i know you gals will stick closer to each other. my prayers are with you and your families.love sandra
